My discovery of the day: Westlife - Shadows and Journey - Faithfully
Today I decided to open up Pandora since I’ve been unable to come up with a playlist interesting/long enough (studying even a quarter of a day means you get through a lot of songs) to play continuously. I’m not familiar enough with Journey’s songs to be able to name more than 2 or 3 of them, and so when “Faithfully” came up, I did a little double take.
I haven’t heard “Faithfully” in a long time. More recently (but still a few years ago) I stumbled upon the song “Shadows” by a group called Westlife (I remember hearing a few songs in high school and noting terrible lyrics). It was really catchy to me and now I realize why. It’s because at 0:57 of “Shadows” sounds incredibly similar to all of Journey’s “Faithfully.”
